Quinta da Perogil is an ideal setting for a large family get together or various couples and golfers, wanting to sample the best of the authentic Eastern Algarve experience. This characteristic and modern house has an expansive interior and private exterior. Four bedrooms comprising of two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, all with air conditioning.

Just a 15 minute stroll from the heart of Tavira, the gem of this region. Set within a quiet and beautiful residential neighbourhood overlooking Tavira. Within a large and private lawned gardens, lounge by the 10 x 5m pool and enjoy the sunny and shady areas of the mature gardens.

A 15 minute stroll from the villa through a small lane brings you to the north-west riverside of Tavira where one can find small traditional grocery stores, banks and cafes. Further south is a daily fish, fruit and vegetable market, the choice of local fresh produce not to be missed!

The air conditioned and generous sized living areas of the house allows for a luxurious break home from home, with a new kitchen and all modern appliances.
Well-located for getting about without a car, eating out in a large selection of quality restaurants for good value, and just minutes away from two beautiful newly built golf courses and beaches.

The other side of the river offers a supermarket and many more of the numerous cafes and churches furnishing Tavira. Traditional working fishing villages boasting excellent fish restaurants border Tavira.

Tavira has all amenities and a vast choice in good restaurants, bars and pavement cafes. Divided by a small river crossed by pedestrian and Roman bridges, Tavira remains an authentic and charming tapestry of old and new, a legacy from its colourful past. Summer brings a variety of outdoor and cultural entertainment to Tavira, including 2 outdoor cinema festivals.

Fresh water streams, small waterfalls and rivers merge with the warmest seas of the Atlantic which lines a 12km white sand stretch of sand duned islands, creating plenty of idealic pockets to discover.. A haven for fishing and cockle picking!
Daytime entertainment for children can be found in the large water parks on the other side of Faro, which run most of the year due to the good climate.
Tavira Island is the livelier of a selection of beautiful beaches in the area. Reached by small ferry boats that regularly travel up and the Gala River, dotted with many colourful and traditional fishing boats and yachts.

Local activities in and around Tavira, Tavira

The island has a good choice of restaurants and bars, which continue serving late into the night. Quieter, less populated beaches can be reached either by car, miniature train and on foot, all belonging to the Ria Formosa nature reserve, home to a wide variety of wildlife.

About 5 minutes car drive away are Benamor golf course and Quinta da Cima and Quinta da Ria. Beautifully maintained golf courses, par 72, around 5,500 - 6,110m, 18 hole, well situated with coastal views.

Car hire is not essential, though an advantage for seeing all the beauty and places of interest this region has to offer.

Only 30 km from Faro airport and close to the bus terminal, the villa is very easy to find. Taxi from Faro shouldn't cost more than 40 euros. Jerez de Fronteira, in Spain is another airport option, being only about 3 hours drive away. Seville is reached within 2 hours and Lisbon in 3.5 hours.

Rental Notes:

30 % within two weeks of request, remaining 70% eight weeks before arrival. Booking less than four weeks before arrival, 100% payable at time of booking. Changeover day is flexible, although we prefer to keep bookings as close together as possible. Generally arrivals after 1pm and departures by 10am.

Guests will be met at the villa and will have a contact number in case any assistance is required.

Up to 8 weeks – no cancellation charge
4-8 weeks – 50% of rate refunded
Less than 4 weeks – no refund

Security deposit of €300 against accidental breakages is required. Property will be inspected prior to arrival and departure. Once weekly linen and towel change plus light clean.
